As the experts in restoration, we have worked on some very important and rare chandeliers. A unique chandelier we restored to its former glory is the Rothschild Rock Crystal Chandelier which hung for some 70 years in the great Staircase Hall of the stately home Easton Neston.
A large open cage adorned with rock crystal in the form of bunches of grapes, pomegranates, pears and other fruits, it was completely dismantled and sympathetically cleaned throughout.
We installed an additional 50 internal lights which ingeniously illuminated the beautiful ormolu work. At our client’s request, we are not able to show the chandelier in its entirety, although the result, illustrating the crown before and after, is nothing short of stunning.
We totally dismantle and clean sympathetically, replacing missing or damaged parts which are produced to the very highest standards. Wiring is brought up to modern day standards too.
Our glass-cutter has over 35 years experience and has worked to the highest level, hand-cutting and hand-polishing glass, reproducing original patterns from as far back as the Georgian period.
Specialising in Hand-Chasing, Brass and Bronze
Furthermore, we are the only chandelier company in the United Kingdom to have an in-house metalwork restorer specialising in hand-chasing, brass and bronze restoration, having worked on all of The Badminton Cabinet’s fine ormolu. We also restore other decorative lighting such as wall lights.
