History David Malik

In the 1950’s David Malik established his lighting business dedicated to the production and restoration of chandeliers. From the showroom at 112 Kensington Church Street, London W8, his work soon gained a reputation for superlative craftsmanship which generated commissions from around the world.

David Malik was the first person in this country to use Swarovski crystal in his production and, with his elegant and innovative designs, became one of the most exclusive crystal chandelier manufacturers in the United Kingdom.

David's wife Phyllis was also a great support to him, working in the administrative side of the business, she also perfected the art of traditional pinning of crystal in the English style of hook and loop.

Over half a century on, the tradition and expertise continues as knowledge, skills and attention to detail have been handed down to the second and third generations of our family.

Our unique qualities are amplified by our in-house design team and specialist frame-maker creating sophisticated English chandeliers and French style cage chandeliers with traditional pinning of crystal, using skills which are rarely seen today.

Located in Park Royal, London since 1990, and still manufacturing here in the United Kingdom, we specialise in producing fine quality chandeliers, both classical and contemporary, in addition to an antique restoration service second to none.

Our past commissions:

  • Leading interior designers and architects
